Facilitates Exchange and Friendship between Macau and Ningxia

To facilitate the cultural exchange between Macau and mainland China, MGM welcomed students from Ningxia to MGM COTAI. The experience broadened their horizons and gave them in-depth knowledge of Macau’s rich East-meets-West cultural  heritage. The Ningxia Student Summer Camp was co-organized by the Associação para a Promoção das Aspirações da Juventude Chinesa de Macau, Ningxia Youth Exchange Promotion Association, Ningxia Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

On July 15, approximately 90 top students from Ningxia visited MGM COTAI and were welcomed by MGM management. They were amazed by the world’s largest area of permanent indoor LED screens at the Spectacle, which showcase an exclusive array of digital art collected from around the globe.

After the introduction by MGM representative, the students then toured the MGM COTAI Art Collection to learn more about the over 300 captivating artworks from world renowned artists, that have seamlessly been integrated with MGM COTAI’s public spaces. The art docents also highlighted the significant meaning of the Chairman’s Collection, rooted in Oriental aesthetics and with Western influences.

Mr. Ho Ka Lon, Standing Committee Member of the Ningxia Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, shared his enjoyment of the tour, “We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to MGM for welcoming us to experience this newest integrated resort hotel in Macau, to learn about how it integrates art and culture into its tourism offerings. We have built a memorable rapport with the students throughout our journey, and we hope that this precious experience can motivate and inspire them to study and learn, thereby make meaningful contributions to society.”
