Supporting Sustainable Growth and Development of Local SMEs

MGM announces the launch of MGM Leos Macau Travel Tips, a community revitalization program, aiming to support the growth of local Macau micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for their sustainable development in the community.

Last year, MGM initiated a SME Relief Program to help local businesses affected by Typhoon Hato to get back on their feet and recover from the resulted damages. The Company not only provided immediate assistance to the affected SMEs, but also assisted them to achieve a sustainable recovery. MGM Leos Macau Travel Tips program is one of the Company’s long-term support initiatives to the SMEs. Under this program, MGM has specially designed dedicated website and tour maps introducing to visitors the specialty shops in the old districts, public transportation information on how to reach there, as well as key events organized by the local commercial and industrial associations including the Hong Kung Night Market. MGM hopes to attract more visitors to experience the authentic side of Macau, thus to increase the flow of people in the old districts and take forward the development of local SMEs.

For the MGM Leo’s Macau Travel Tips program, MGM features different types of SME retailers located in the Taipa Old Village, S. Domingos District and Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro District. In addition to the “Made in Macau” enterprises, young entrepreneurs and micro-sized enterprises that were seriously affected by the typhoon last year are also highlighted in order to help them recover from the resulted damages. Furthermore, MGM Leo’s Macau Travel Tips also aims to create great moments for visitors in this Creative City of Gastronomy, leading them to explore classic Macau snacks, specialty Portuguese food, dried seafood souvenirs, high quality coffee shops and many more, to share with them Macau’s unique traditions.

Starting from July 21, MGM Leo’s Macau Travel Tips tour maps will be distributed at MGM COTAI, MGM MACAU and MGM shuttle bus pick-up points. For more details of the program, please visit: https://www.mgm.mo/en/cotai/offers/mgm-leo-s-macau-travel-tips.
