[Macau, October 15, 2015] Prost! MGM Oktoberfest 2015 has officially kicked off in Macau! For the seventh year in a row, MGM MACAU is hosting the event in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong and the German Macau Business Association, with Macau Government Tourist Office as the supporting unit. From October 15 to 25, experience Munich's famed festival in the truest sense at MGM MACAU with authentic Bavarian food and German Band, the Högl Fun Band, who’s back at MGM Oktoberfest again from Munich, to bring electrifying live entertainment to guests.

The opening ceremony took place at 3:30pm on October 15. Guests of Honor were Mr. Yao Jian, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR; Mr. Nikolaus Graf Lambsdorff, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong; Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macau Government Tourist Office; Mr. Tony Un, Chairman of the German-Macau Business Association, and Mr. Grant Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited.

Mr. Nikolaus Graf Lambsdorff, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong, said at the Cermeony, This is as authentic as an Oktoberfest could be outside of Munich. From the traditional Bavarian food, official Munich Oktoberfest beer to the famous band and beer girls…everything is arranged very well for us to enjoy. This is not just the beer party of Macau, but the OKTOBERFEST of Macau, and thank you to MGM for making this happen for the seventh time.”

Mr. Grant Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, expressed his gratitude to all different governmental departments, supporting units, sponsors and guests for their tremendous support of the MGM Oktoberfest. “We’re bringing Oktoberfest to Macau for the seventh year around, and it’s exciting to see its growing popularity over the years. Our teams are here to make sure this annual Macau event is a memorable experience for all, and this is the blue print of future diversified offerings we want to continue to bring to our guests. I would like to thank Michael Högl and his band, for bringing this to life again.”

The eleven-day Oktoberfest captures the essence of Bavarian festivities through authentic Munich Oktoberfest beer – Spaten, served by beer maids in drindls, with the playing of Alpenhorn and spectacular performance by the Högl Fun Band.
