“We understand working full-time and studying full-time is not easy, especially for those who have a family and children to take care of. We will be at your side and go through this journey with you,” Mr. Kong Ngai said.

Mr. Grant Bowie shared his personal stories with those in attendance as an encouragement, “I’m very proud of our team for taking this important step to go back to school and finish where you left off. My only advice is stay determined and confident. One of the best moments in life is to know that you have accomplished something significant, and I will help our staff achieve that special moment. It is crucial for our local talent to enrich themselves, so that we are ready take on all opportunities collectively as a community.”

One of the students, Ray Ho from Table Games, said, “I’ve always wanted to go back to school and earn the diploma, even if possible, a university degree, hence I’m delighted by the company's flexible arrangement. More importantly, my children are at school and I want to be able to provide tutoring and guidance in the future. Learning while working won't be easy, but it'll be worth it. I’m sure we can overcome the challenges.”

MGM has pioneered various local talent development initiatives covering all career levels in order to encourage life-long learning and personal as well as career advancement. We will continue to explore quality learning opportunities for our team members, which will in turn help to drive vertical movement among local talent and create a better future for the community.
