Encouraging Staff to Seek Assistance through MGM EAP Services
Mr. Grant Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Ltd., poses for a group photo with pairs of staff who have familial relations.

October 10, 2017, Macau] As a local industry leader in promoting caring culture and work-life balance for its employees, MGM hosted the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Roadshow – It Takes Love to Build a Home for all of the team members at its back-of-the-house area on October 6.

The Roadshow kicked off with the premiere of MGM’s second EAP short film titled “Home is where the Love is.” Mr. Grant Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Ltd., and Ms. Wendy Yu, Senior Vice President of Human Resources of MGM, were present together with over 80 Golden Lion Team members. The event also consisted of interactive games with prizes, highlighting the importance of harmony within the family and spreading the message of love.

MGM has always been innovative in its approach to employee communications. “Home is where the Love is,” the second short film in the Company’s EAP short film series, is written and directed by MGM staff and features its own employees and their children. It serves as a reminder to team members to seek assistance through the EAP services, particularly the convenient and accessible on-site counseling, when facing family or other issues.

The comprehensive EAP services provide support to employees at all levels, contributing to their well-being and that of those around them in the long run. Having a long-standing collaboration with Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Service Coordination Office, MGM is the first local integrated resort operator to provide 24-hour hotline and professional counseling service; the services have not only been offered to team members, but also extended to their family members, providing prompt assistance to those in need at any time in the day.

The short film premiered at the event is now available for public viewing on MGM’s Facebook Page: MGM Careers, as well as the YouTube with the keywords MGM Employee Assistance Program Ep.02 – Home is where the Love is.
