An Experience of Digital Interactive Art to Unleash their Creativity
December 12, 2017, Macau] Along with the latest collaboration with the world-renowned art collective teamLab, MGM invited members of the Fuhong Society of Macau to participate in an art workshop for display at its co-creative digital exhibition “Learn & Play! teamLab Future Park”, and prepared an exclusive exhibition session for them. Knowing that art is a universal language that transcends traditional communication barriers, MGM hopes to give them a unique opportunity to be part of the most sought-after exhibition, to express their creativity and empower them to display their ideas.
Prior to the official opening of the exhibition, MGM Golden Lion Volunteer Team went to Pou Lei Center, one of the service centers of the Fuhong Society, for an art workshop. Accompanied by MGM volunteers, 20 members of the Fuhong Society were encouraged to express their imagination by painting pictures of the iconic Macau buildings of cultural heritage, MGM MACAU property and the MGM mascot Leo. Gift bags were prepared for them as a token of appreciation. MGM volunteers also took the opportunity to visit the Center to understand more about its services. The unique drawings by the members are now on display at the exhibition’s interactive space Sketch Christmas / Sketch Town.
Taking this initiative to the next level, MGM invited 30 members of the Fuhong Society to the exhibition on December 4. The members were very enthusiastic about the interactive space Light Ball Orchestra, enjoying changing colors of the spheres in the area by touching them or bumping them against one another. They were also fascinated by the digital ecosystem Graffiti Nature – Mountains and Valleys, where they could hop on the bright virtual flowers and creatures to see them grow and disappear. The highlight of the day was surely the moment when they watched their drawings come alive on the Sketch Christmas giant screen.
Ms. Jennifer Chau, Director of the Fuhong Society of Macau, said, “I would like to thank MGM for giving our members an exclusive opportunity to fully enjoy this world-class exhibition that has been held in different parts of the world, as well as adding a unique Macau touch to the teamLab experience. Our members have communication difficulties and through this creative form of art, they can express their creativity to the fullest. This is a haven for them to discover their sense of self and pride.”
