MGM Team Members Explore the Legendary History of Motherland at the “70 Years of Chinese Folk Memory Exhibition”
MGM gathered a group of 40 team members to visit the “70 Years of Chinese Folk Memory Exhibition”, leaning more about the contemporary history of our nation.

As the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macau SAR is right around the corner, MGM wants to make this moment extra special for its team members. Today, MGM gathered a group of 40 team members, led by Wendy Yu, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, to visit the “70 Years of Chinese Folk Memory Exhibition” at Macau Forum. Through the visit, MGM hopes to offer an opportunity for team members to explore the history of the People's Republic of China from the very first day of its establishment, revisiting the legendary journey from the perspective of the people, and at the same time remembering the supports Macau SAR has been given by our nation in the previous 20 years.

This exhibition is set to celebrate the year of Double Jubilation, supported by the Coordinating Department of the Central People's Government Liaison Office of the Macao SAR and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Committee of Macau, and organized by Macao Daily News and Macau Fair & Trade Association. Featuring over 600 historical photos borrowed from Jianchuan Museum, 300 precious historical objects, documentaries and multimedia exhibits, the exhibition comprehensively illustrates the great effort Chinese people have devoted to achieve the prosperous present. Team members gained much from the informative sharing offered by the exhibition guide from the Oral History Association of Macau, where they were also reminded the glory and responsibility that Macau shares with the nation.

Wendy Yu expressed her thought on the exhibition, “The 70 year history of the PRC has been significant and unique, and this exhibition reminded us of what makes our country great – the sagacious policies and the hard work of our people. Born and raised in Macau, I myself witnessed the rapid growth of my city under the unconditional support from our nation in the past 20 years, and quality of life has improved remarkably. Since 2016, MGM has been organizing diverse national education programs for team members, including exploration trips, exchange visits and workshops. We hope to prepare our team members for the vast opportunities to come for Macau through the establishment of the Greater Bay Area.”
