As a responsible corporate citizen, MGM has always been committed to promoting responsible gaming (RG) to all in the community with continuous and practical efforts. After years of devoted endeavors, MGM MACAU casino has passed the “Responsible Gambling Indicators” program initiated by the Macao SAR Government and awarded the qualification of “Responsible Gaming Implementation Model Unit”. In view of further strengthening the Company’s RG promotions in the community, MGM joins hands with local community associations to launch the brand new “MGM Responsible Gaming Community Engagement Scheme”, on top of its regular annual RG initiatives. The scheme will tackle RG from aspects ranging from education, prevention, support and research, hoping to extend the importance of RG to the community, in a bid to develop a more harmonious and healthier society through public-private partnership.

Tian Han, Senior Vice President of Gaming Operations & Strategic Marketing of MGM, said, “MGM truly believes the implementation of RG is the key to building a healthy and sustainable business model for the industry, laying a solid foundation for the society’s stable development. Since the opening of MGM, we have always been adhering RG measures with more stringent standards than the industry average and was the first in industry to establish an RG task force. In the year of its 15th anniversary, MGM MACAU’s RG efforts were recognized by the SAR government and awarded the qualification of ‘Responsible Gaming Implementation Model Unit’, which is an honor to the Company at whole. With the introduction of the ‘MGM Responsible Gaming Community Engagement Scheme’, we will partner with more community associations and devote more resources to maximize the effectiveness of exercising RG.”
During the event, guests of honor including Davis Fong, Wang Chang Bin, Song Wai Kit and Tian Han, were invited to share their insights on the topic of “the future development trends of Macau’s RG”, in the light of strengthening Macau’s positioning as the World Center of Tourism and Leisure. MGM also introduced its RG endeavors and awarded pins to team members who have completed the “Macau Responsible Gaming Advisor” certificate course. These team members now become part of the RG task force, who are on duty 24/7 inside the casinos to provide instant assistance for guests in need.
On the other hand, MGM continued to organize its annual RG initiative themed “Lost Control, Lose Family” for its team members. During the past few months, MGM teamed up with SKH, AJVM and Macao Gaming Industry Employees Home (GEH) to launch a series of RG roadshows, including “MGM x AJVM – Responsible Gaming Roadshow”, “MGM x GEH – ‘Lost Control, Lose Family’ Responsible Gaming Roadshow” and more. MGM and also collaborated with these associations to co-host interactive RG events, such as seminars, multimedia promotions and family-friendly activities, to help audiences better grasp the potential risks of gaming activities.
