MGM earlier held the annual blessing ceremony for its Dragon Boat Team at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Center. Led by a team of MGM’s senior executives, the ceremony was to extend best wishes to 58 MGM team members, who will take part in the “Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2023”. Comprised of almost 90% of local employees, the Dragon Boat Team will compete across four categories in six teams.

Senior executives of MGM, including Kenneth Feng, President, Chief Strategic & Financial Officer; Wendy Yu, Executive Vice President of Human Resources; and Peter Chen, Senior Vice President of VIP Marketing, performed a series of traditional rituals, such as offering incense, carving a suckling pig and eye-dotting the dragon boats — a gesture made to symbolically awaken the spirit of the boats, followed by an energetic performance brought by the cheerleading squad. The ceremony was then drawn to a successful closing as the Dragon Boat Team rowed together in the shower of festive confetti cannons.
