MGM’s Two Chinese Restaurants Honored by Tatler Dining Guide

Two signature Chinese restaurants of MGM, Imperial Court at MGM MACAU and Five Foot Road at MGM COTAI, have been honored with Best Restaurants Awards 2024 by one of leading luxury media, Tatler Hong Kong. Both restaurants are known for their exquisite traditional Chinese regional cuisine. Founded 40 years ago, Tatler Dining Guide is one of the ultimate guide to the luxurious dining scene.

 

Five Foot Road Reveals the 24 Taste-profiles of Sichuanese Cuisine

Five Foot Road is a unique dining concept with Sichuanese fine dining experience of official banquets and soirée for the respected society. The tailor-made recipes feature flavors beyond fiery and hot, with delicacy and richness in flavors. With nearly 40 years of industry experience, Executive Sous Chef Yang Dengquan delivers the daintiest side of Sichuanese authentic cooking with his combination of meticulous execution featuring the diversified 24-taste-profiles to impress discerning palates, connecting the two cities of UNESCO City of Gastronomy – Chengdu and Macau. Guests can taste the authentic and delicate Sichuanese cuisine at Five Foot Road, including the Stewed Bird’s Nest with Minced Chicken and Egg White in Bouillon, Wok-fried Glutinous Rice with Pork Belly, Red Bean Paste, Crushed Peanuts, Sesame and Cashew Nuts, as well as the sacred high-end Chengdu dish of the Qing Imperial Palace, Poached Chinese Cabbage in Bouillon.

 

Imperial Court Showcases Lingnan Culinary Craftsmanship

Nestled in MGM MACAU’s VIP Lobby, Imperial Court features the spirit of classic Lingnan culinary fare with modern twist. The main dining room greets guests with a feast for the eyes with an ornamental column introducing a masterful craving of a dragon, which coheres with the exquisite Liuli tableware. Paying tribute to the essence of Lingnan culinary culture, Executive Sous Chef Homan Tsui values the seasonality and original flavors of ingredients. Taste the gem of Lingnan cuisine with Crispy Fried Chicken Skin with Shrimp Mousse and Salted Fish Flakes, a handcrafted classic reinvented by Chef Homan to unveil the historic past of Macau inside out.
