Burnt Ends and Meet the Bund to Mark Pop-up Debut in Macau at MGM This Month
Dave Pynt, Chef-owner of Burnt Ends will present a three-day exclusive smoked feast experience at Grill 58.

With the aim to enrich the culinary landscape of Macau as the Creative City of Gastronomy, MGM presents top-notch dining experiences from around the world to food enthusiasts. In April, two renowned world-class star chefs and their teams will join forces with the culinary team at MGM. The much anticipated lineup includes Dave Pynt, Chef-owner of the grill restaurant Burnt Ends from Singapore and Wu Rong, the founder of Fujian cuisine restaurant Meet the Bund from Shanghai. Both of them have recently earned recognitions again in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Award 2024.

Burnt Ends Presents a Stellar Smoked Feast in Macau

From April 18 to 20, Dave Pynt, the Chef-owner of Burnt Ends will make his first guest chef takeover in Macau, with a three-day exclusive grill experience at MGM COTAI's Grill 58, showcasing exquisite Australian-style barbecue.

Pynt has honed his culinary skills in Europe and Asia, and his relentless pursuit of culinary excellence has been rewarded with numerous international accolades and recognitions. The restaurant is known as one of the most sought-after establishments in Singapore. Having achieved a Michelin one-star for seven consecutive years, Burnt Ends has recently climbed to the No. 15 at the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2024.

Pynt excels in using delicate and precise techniques such as wood-fired grilling and smoking to bring out the authentic flavors of ingredients. He will delight guests with signature dishes from his restaurant, including the Smoked Quail Egg and Caviar, Blackmore's Striploin, King Crab and Garlic Brown Butter, and more. For this limited-time pop-up, Pynt’s team will join hands with the MGM’s culinary team for the meat-aging preparation in the Macau’s only Himalayan pink salt dry-aging room at Grill 58, enhancing the richness of flavor. The 10-course lunch menu and the 13-course dinner menu are priced at MOP 888* and MOP 1,688* per person, respectively. For inquiries and reservations, please contact (853) 8806 2318.

Meet The Bund and Imperial Court Relish the Artistry of Chinese Cuisines

From April 26 to 28, Wu Rong, founder of Meet The Bund specializing in Fujian cuisine, will join forces with Chef Homan Tsui, Executive Sous Chef of MGM MACAU's Imperial Court. Together, they will present a three-day exclusive gastronomic experience, allowing guests to savor the classic delicacies from two of the "Eight Major Regional Cuisines" of China—Cantonese and Fujian.

Meet The Bund, under the guidance of Chef Wu Rong, is the only Fujianese restaurant in the world that has been recognized by the MICHELIN Guide, the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, and the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants at the same time. Nevertheless, Chef Wu was awarded recognized as Head Chef of the Year 2024 by the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide.

Chef Wu, together with his team, will make their debut in Macau, presenting their restaurant signature dishes such as Steamed Xiamen Mud Crab with Glutinous Rice and Fo Tiao Qiang, revealing the gastronomic essence of traditional Fujian banquet. In addition, Homan Tsui, helming Imperial Court with achievement from Forbes Travel Guide and Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, will also present Lingnan classics with fine twist, including the Stir-Fried Lobster Meat with Choy Sum, Bamboo and Hasma Egg, and Eight Treasures Squab with Pomelo Peel at this collaborative dinner. The eight-course dinner set menu will be available at Grand Imperial Court for three days only, priced at MOP 3,200* per person. For enquiry and reservations, please contact (853) 8802 2361.
