MGM Builds a Harmonious Society with a Series of RG Promotions
Raising Tourists’ Awareness of Responsible Gaming

To fully build a harmonious and healthy society and adhere to its corporate social responsibility, MGM has been dedicated to implementing various educational and promotional initiatives for responsible gaming (RG) over the years. These endeavors aim to enhance public understanding and emphasize the significance of responsible gaming within the industry. This year, MGM partners with Macao Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM) to organize the "Contributing a Harmonious Community - RG Macau Express” series to increase the RG awareness from local communities to popular tourist attractions. This series is to hold eight promotional events from May to December in 2024, targeting both residents and tourists.

The second activity of this series was held on May 23 at the Barra District, featuring interactive Q&A games and captivating bilingual promotional materials designed to raise awareness of responsible gaming among tourists. Leveraging the Barra District’s strengths as a new cultural-tourism landmark encompassing art exhibitions and diversified events organized by MGM, the Company further injects responsible gaming message into the public as well as all sectors of the society. Additionally, participants were provided with souvenirs that showcase Macau's unique characteristics while incorporating elements of responsible gaming. The first event was held in Rua dos Ervanários during the May Golden Week and together these two events reached more than 2,000 tourists.

The Company's dedication to responsible gaming has always been an integral part of its commitment to the local community. MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI have been rewarded with "Responsible Gaming Implementation Model Units" in 2023. Since 2023, MGM has been working with FAOM on promoting responsible gaming in different local communities, serving more than 5,000 residents. This year, the "Contributing a Harmonious Community - RG Macau Express” series expands its target audience from local residents to tourists, with an expected total attendance of 8,000 tourists throughout all events.
