Unique Motorcycle Designs Created by Special Olympics Athletes Will Race This Week

[Macau – November 16, 2015] This November, MGM China joins hands with Special Olympics Macau to present the Art Program of “Penz13 BMW Motorrad by MGM China and Special Olympics Macau”, supported by the Macau Government Tourist Office, Cultural Affairs Bureau, Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and Social Welfare Bureau of the Macau SAR Government.

Over 30 athletes from Special Olympics Macau were invited to join the program to create colorful designs for the two sponsored Penz13 BWM racing motorcycles. Two designs drawn by Sin Kei Cheong and Tam Chan Kit were chosen among 80 beautiful and creative drawings. Tam and Shin are both 23 year-old boys and active participants in the Special Olympics Golf Masters. Their designs were debuted as works of art on the Penz13 BMW Motorrad Motorcycles at MGM MACAU before they hit the circuit at the Macau Grand Prix 2015. Through the activity, MGM China has provided an opportunity for the Macau Special Olympics athletes to develop their creativity and learn to build team spirit, as well as help bring athletes together to promote a harmonious community for Macau.

On November 16, the unveiling ceremony for the Penz13 BMW Motorrad was held at the MGM Art Space. “We are glad to work with Special Olympics Macau once again to organize another creative art activity,” Mr. Grant Bowie, Chief Executive Office and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said. “I would like to thank the Macau SAR Government and everyone for their support. We make art accessible to friends from all walks of life, and by that, we hope to inspire creativity and encourage everyone to unleash their imagination

“We believe that every individual has his own creative ideas,” Mr. Julio Chan, Vice Chair of the Executive Board of the Special Olympics Macau, said. “Through this event, Special Olympics athletes can showcase their artistic talent and let the world appreciate their works. This just goes to show how outstanding these Special Olympics athletes are.”.”
