MGM Rolls Out “MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program”
Strengthening Team Members’ Awareness and Execution of Responsible Gaming via Diverse Initiatives
MGM rolled out its new “MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program”.

[May 6, 2025] To implement the Macao government’s policies and directions in promoting responsible gaming (RG), and to further advance the healthy and orderly development of Macau’s tourism and leisure industry, MGM rolled out its new “MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program” (Program) last week. The Company aims to provide its team members with a more extensive, sustainable, and efficient platform of RG promotion, through diversified activities such as roadshows, pop-up interactive games, online quiz games, advanced training & courses on gambling-related knowledge and more. The Program is designed to enhance employees’ awareness in this field, which will contribute to the establishment of a balanced, stable, and sustainable society. Organized by MGM, this program is advised by the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) of Macao SAR, Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) of Macao SAR, University of Macau (UM), and the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), as well as co-organized by the Macao Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM), Macao New Chinese Youth Association, Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office, Macao Gaming Industry Employees Home, and the Youth Volunteers Association of Macao.

MGM held an opening ceremony for this program earlier at MGM COTAI’s back-of-house area, and was attended by a strong lineup of guests, including Yang Yi, Deputy Division Head of Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR; Aster Ng, Head of the Division of Studies and Information Analysis of the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ); Bonnie Wu, Head of Division of Problem Gambling Prevention and Treatment of the IAS; Gin Cheang, Director of the Centre of Moral Education of DSEDJ; Davis Fong, Director of Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming of UM; Wang Chang Bin, Director of Centre for Gaming and Tourism Studies of MPU; Choi Kam Fu, Vice Chairman of FAOM; Wong Chi Choi, Chairman of the Macao New Chinese Youth Association; Ip Kam Bo, Service Director of Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office; Vong Chao Peng, President of the Youth Volunteers Association of Macao; Pak Kin Pong, Director of the Macao Gaming Industry Employees Home Integrated Services Centre; Tian Han, Executive Vice President of Gaming Operations & Strategic Marketing of MGM and Wendy Yu, Executive Vice President of Human Resources of MGM.

Tian Han emphasized in his speech that MGM has once again joined hands with different organizations to launch this new “MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program”, aiming to go hand in hand with the "MGM RG Community Engagement Scheme" that began last year. Together, these two programs will initiate an “internal and external dual-track” approach, which will not only promote social advocacy but also strengthen the professional skills of employees. We aspire to leverage diverse and innovative approaches in this new Program to reinforce our team members’ understanding and execution on RG while building a solid foundation for the long-term stability and sustainable development of society. Moving forward, MGM will continue to collaborate with all sectors to further promote RG-related information by upholding Macau’s policies, in a bid to foster a healthy and harmonious society.
