MGM is participating in the “2025 International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao” hosted by the Macau Government Tourism Office from July 11 to 20. As one of the leading partners, MGM actively supported this 10-day event, alongside global representatives from the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and international culinary professionals. The festival showcased the unique “Tourism + Gastronomy” appeal of Macau through a series of programs, such as the International Gastronomy Promenade, the City of Gastronomy Showcase and the International Gastronomy Forum.
At the International Gastronomy Promenade, MGM’s food stall attracted food enthusiasts with an array of creative small plates—Cuttlefish Ball and Seaweed in Mantis Shrimp Soup, Pan-fried Chinese Barbecued Pork with Chive Hoisin Sauce Tortilla Roll, and Yakitori Chicken Skewers. To complement the savory offerings, MGM also introduced two newly launched frozen treats: the Golden Walking Lion, 3D Mango Popsicle and the Dancing Lion, 3D Milk Popsicle, delighting guests with their creative design and refreshing flavors. Redo Lo, Chef de Cuisine of MGM MACAU, participated in the City of Gastronomy Showcase today (July 16) to present Macanese Stuffed Squid, one of the Macanese signature dishes which highlighted the rich flavors and aromas of the cuisine. Tony Yoo, Consultant Chef of MGM and Owner Chef of DOOREYOO in Seoul, was invited to join the International Gastronomy Forum on July 14 as a panel speaker of the panel session, titled as A Symphony of Flavours: Fusion Cuisine in Modern Macau and Beyond, to share his insights on crafting fusion cuisine by balancing cultural authenticity and innovation.
To continue the excitement of the citywide gastronomy event, MGM invited chef Elisio Eduardo Bernardes from Santa Maria Da Feira in Portugal, one of the UNESCO Creative Cities of Gastronomy, to a demonstration session at Rossio in MGM MACAU on July 10. He presented two of his signature dishes: Lobster Soup, and Tuna Tartare with White Chocolate Snow and Lime Zest. In preparing the first dish, the chef embraced sustainable culinary principles, enabling an audience of gastronomy lovers to appreciate firsthand the culinary art of Santa Maria Da Feira and eco-conscious culinary approach.
