MGM Celebrates 15 Years of Fusing Art with Racing
Jointly Launches “ART OF RACING” Exhibition with Macau Grand Prix Museum
MGM collaborated with the Macau Grand Prix Museum to launch the “ART OF RACING” Helmet Model Artworks and Riders’ Collection Exhibition.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of MGM’s pioneering initiative to integrate “Artistic Inclusion” with the Macau Grand Prix, a commitment that has transformed the racing stage into a platform for creativity and social harmony. Over the past fifteen years, MGM has continuously sponsored SK Support riders, who have raced on the Guia Circuit with helmets, racing suits, and motorcycles meticulously designed by artists with disabilities from Macau and overseas. These meaningful creations elevated the visual appeal of an international sporting event but also embodied the spirit of inclusion and artistic expression.

Celebrating Perfect Harmony of Art and Racing

This year, MGM continues its tradition by sponsoring Finnish rider Erno Kostamo and Australian rider David Johnson in the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix. Their racing gear, including motorcycles, suits, and helmets—features artwork by artists with disabilities, turning high-speed competition into a vibrant showcase of creativity and social values. During the race, MGM will also arrange for members of the Fuhong Society of Macau and the Macau IC2 Association to visit the paddock and interact with the riders, creating unforgettable moments that celebrate diversity and inclusion.

Further amplifying this vision, MGM has collaborated with the Macau Grand Prix Museum to launch the “ART OF RACING” Helmet Model Artworks and Riders’ Collection Exhibition. The exhibition is supported by the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, the Macau Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM), the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau (UGAMM), the Women’s General Association of Macau, and the Fuhong Society of Macau. Featuring creative helmet artworks contributed by the public and the memorabilia from professional riders, this exhibition will run from now until January 5, 2026.

The opening ceremony was held today with a distinguished lineup of guests, including Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office; Ho Sut Heng, President of FAOM; Lau Kam Ling, President of the Macau Women’s General Association; Aaron Iu, Vice President of UGAMM; Maria de Fátima Santos Ferreira, President of General Assembly of the Fuhong Society of Macau; and Hubert Wang, President & Chief Operating Officer of MGM China Holdings Limited.

Hubert Wang, President & Chief Operating Officer of MGM China Holdings Limited, said, “MGM is committed to connecting the world through art and promoting inclusion through cross-sector collaboration, especially the integration of sports and the arts. For the past 15 years, we’ve partnered with SK Support to engage artists with disabilities worldwide in designing racing suits and helmets for Macau Grand Prix riders—bringing their creativity to the global sports stage. This year, we are proud to present the ‘ART OF RACING’ Helmet Model Artworks and Riders’ Collection Exhibition, showcasing a collection of works that carry powerful stories and highlighting the beauty of where sports and art integrate, which aims to extend the message of inclusion to the world.”

Paying Tribute to the Grand Prix Through Collective Participation

The exhibition unfolds across three sections. The first, themed “Artistic Inclusion and Community Co-Creation,” showcases 72 helmet model artworks created by local students and community groups, paying tribute to the 72nd Macau Grand Prix. Developed through a series of design workshops in October, these helmet models highlight the collective participation from local schools and organizations in a celebration of racing enthusiasm.

The second section highlights riders’ memorabilia, including racing suits and helmets worn by MGM-sponsored riders such as champion Davey Todd and Erno Kostamo. Each piece was designed by artists with disabilities, demonstrating art’s ability to unite diverse communities and allowing the public to relive the riders’ heroic moments on the Guia Circuit.

The exhibition also includes a giant lion dance-themed helmet installation as a photo hotspot, along with interactive activities to make the experience more engaging. Visitors upload their photos to specified social media platforms with designated hashtags to join a capsule toy lucky draw for a chance to win exclusive MGM gifts.

Enduring Support for Phantom Global Racing

Beyond the “Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix”, MGM continues its sixth consecutive year of sponsoring the Phantom Global Racing. The team's three drivers will compete in the “Macau GT Cup - FIA GT World Cup”, with French driver Dorian Boccolacci (No. 23) piloting the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) for Phantom Global Racing, while German driver Christopher Haase (No. 45) and Swedish driver Joel Eriksson (No. 46) will drive Audi R8 LMS GT3 (Evo II) cars for FAW Audi Sport Asia Team Phantom. This continued partnership demonstrates MGM’s long-term commitment to the Macau Grand Prix.
