Festive tennis fever sweeps the city as captains and players arrive in Macau
The 2025 MGM Macau Tennis Masters will take place at the Macao Forum on 27 and 28 December.

Tennis fans, rejoice — the 2025 MGM Macau Tennis Masters has officially arrived. It’s time to ‘Play. Celebrate. Repeat.’ as world-class tennis, immersive fan experiences and holiday-season festivities take centre stage at the Macao Forum on 27 and 28 December.

Our two legendary team captains — Li Na and Conchita Martínez, both Grand Slam champions and International Tennis Hall of Famers — have touched down in Macau alongside the six elite players set to compete in the 2025 edition of this exclusive invitational event. All six stars made an appearance at the Players Arrival Press Conference, held today (Dec 26) at MGM Cotai, officially kicking off the celebrations.

This year’s lineup includes Alexandra Eala, who recently became the first Filipina singles player to win a SEA Games gold medal in 26 years; teenage sensation and former world No. 5 Mirra Andreeva; seven-time ATP title winner Ugo Humbert; in-form Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, currently enjoying a career-high ranking of world No. 14; and China’s trailblazing ATP champions Yibing Wu and Juncheng “Jerry” Shang.

The press conference was attended by organisers and key partners who have brought the MGM Macau Tennis Masters to life, including Benjamin Iong, Acting Head of Tourism Product and Events Department of the Macao Government Tourism Office;  Jeremy Ho, Head of Special Projects Division of the Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government; Louise Ung, Director General of the Macau Tennis Association; Catarina Lio, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing of MGM; and Luiz Carvalho, Tournament Director and MARI Group Senior Vice President of Tennis Events.

Throughout the weekend, fans can look forward to a packed programme of on- and off-court engagement activities. The daily Captains Challenge will be a highlight each day, offering fans a unique glimpse into the vibrant personalities of the captains and players as they take part in fun, tennis-inspired contests.

Beyond the on-court action, two autograph sessions will be held each day at the Macao Forum, while spectators will have the chance to enjoy exclusive interactive experiences, winning once-in-a-lifetime opportunities such as joining the Captains Challenge on court, serving as a guest for the pre-match coin toss, or attending post-match press conferences—complete with player autographs and photo opportunities that bring fans closer to the stars of the tournament. Organisers have also introduced a special feature for ticket holders, who will get the chance to draw exclusive gifts and discount coupons from a special on-site gacha machine.

Several community-driven activities will also run alongside the event. Earlier this morning at 11:00 a.m. (Dec 26), the Macau Tennis Association hosted a tennis clinic for its junior players at the Macao Forum, featuring Mirra Andreeva and Yibing Wu. The duo delivered a truly unforgettable experience on Centre Court, rallying with young players from across Macau and passing on lessons from their own rise on tour—fuelling the juniors’ passion and ambition for the sport.

Adding a meaningful dimension to the weekend, a special sharing session celebrating women’s influence in sport and tennis will take place tomorrow (Dec 27) morning. Titled ‘Four Voices, One Court’, the discussion will be held at 11:00 a.m. at The Fantasy Box on the second floor of MGM MACAU, featuring Li Na, Conchita Martínez, Mirra Andreeva and Alexandra Eala in an intergenerational dialogue moderated by Former Hong Kong Olympian and host Robyn Lamsam.

Players will also step out into the city to engage with fans and experience Macau’s vibrant culture and celebrated culinary scene. On Sunday (Dec 28) morning, Andreeva, Davidovich Fokina, Humbert, Wu and Shang will take part in a specially curated Food and Local Culture Experience at Rua da Praia do Manduco and Barra Kitchen at the Barra District, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., where they will sample local flavours and gain a first-hand taste of Macau’s unique blend of heritage, tradition and cuisine.

Tickets for the two-day tennis bonanza are available through MGM.mo, KongSeng Ticketing, Damai, Maoyan, UUTIX, and CTrip. Daily tickets are priced from MOP230 to MOP580 for VIP seats. Two-day passes start from MOP360 up to MOP1,000 for VIP seating.

Co-organised by MGM and the new global events and experiences company MARI, the 2025 MGM Macau Tennis Masters is honoured to have the support of the Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government, Macao Government Tourism Office, and the Macau Tennis Association, together with our distinguished partners, including the official outfitter FILA, official airline EVA AIR and the official water Bonaqua.
