MGM Celebrates Songkran with over 250 Thai Guests in “2026 Amazing Songkran in Macau” Gala Dinner at MGM Theater
MGM hosted the “2026 Amazing Songkran in Macau” Gala Dinner

[April 16, 2026, Macau] MGM has been proactively expanding its reach in international markets, in line with Macau’s development strategy, including the Southeast Asian market. Continuing a well-established tradition, for the fourth year, MGM has once again hosted the “Amazing Songkran in Macau” Gala Dinner to celebrate the festivity with its Thai guests and customers. Hosted at the MGM Theater at MGM COTAI, the Songkran gala dinner has expanded to welcome more than 250 guests, to savor a myriad of experiences and performances inspired by Thai culture, specially curated by MGM teams.

Guests were immersed in lively Songkran-themed decorations and celebratory energy, while enjoying an exquisite feast curated by MGM’s star-studded culinary team, featuring elevated Sino-Thai gastronomic flair. Dedicated Thai Street food stalls were also set up at the venue, offering a wide selection of authentic delicacies, including tom yum seafood noodle soup, Thai shrimp cakes, Thai Grilled Pork Skewer with Tamarind Sauce (Moo Ping) , Thai coconut pancakes, banana pandan tarts, and homemade ice cream in Thai dessert flavors, all as a prelude to the sumptuous evening.

Another highlight is the debut performance of Thai superstar Pexky Sretunya, who is performing in China for the first time. Dubbed as the “Queen of Variety” of Thailand, Pexky belted out top-hits to wow fans and guests alike in the crowd with her infectious vocals and energy. Guests were also treated to a scene of MGM’s renowned residency show “Macau 2049”, and a lucky draw session which added to the high spirits.

Thailand is a key Southeast Asian market for Macau, with a 31.8% year-on-year increase in the first two months of 2026 according to the Statistics and Census Service Bureau of Macao SAR (DSEC), and has consistently ranked among the top international visitor markets over the years. Meanwhile, Thailand has also become a remarkable market at MGM with a stable increase of Thai customers to its properties.

Looking ahead, MGM will continue to strengthen its connections with Thailand’s tourism industry and consumer market through a wide range of promotional activities, industry familiarization visits, and exhibition platforms, further enhancing Macau’s appeal in the Thai market.
