MGM Greater Bay Area Innovation Discovery Journey Enhances Team Capability
Empowering Management in Support of Macau’s Economic Diversification
MGM organized a two-day “MGM Greater Bay Area Leadership Innovation Discovery Journey” in mid-June.

[June 25, 2026, Macau] MGM actively supports the Macao SAR Government’s strategy of promoting appropriate economic diversification. Through diverse learning and exchange programs, MGM helps team members broaden their horizons, strengthen management capabilities, and connect with innovation development in the Greater Bay Area. In mid-June, MGM organized a two-day “MGM Greater Bay Area Leadership Innovation Discovery Journey” in Shenzhen for 22 management team members from key departments including Human Resources and Digital & Technology Solutions. Focusing on technology and cultural tourism innovation, this journey featured visits to benchmark enterprises and innovative projects in Shenzhen. These exchanges enabled the management team to gain insights into best practices and advanced talent development approaches, supporting their application in daily management and further strengthening overall organizational effectiveness.

On the first day, the team visited Huawei’s Shenzhen Headquarters and flagship store, gaining insights into the company’s development journey, management systems, and innovation practices. They developed a comprehensive understanding of Huawei’s operations, strategies, and talent development system, while experiencing real-world applications of cutting-edge technologies such as 6G and dual-band MetaAAU, as well as experiencing flagship products. Following the visit, MGM representatives from Human Resources and Digital & Technology Solutions engaged in focused discussions with Huawei experts on the latest AI applications and how digital transformation can enhance human resources management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

On the second day, the team visited Extreme Vision Technology and UBTECH Robotics, while exploring how machine vision, AI, and robotics are applied in operational settings, as well as their potential in monitoring, safety, and intelligent manufacturing. These visits encouraged reflection on how such technologies can enhance efficiency and support innovation-driven transformation. The team also visited Shenzhen Bay Culture Park, deepening understanding on how urban planning, architectural design, and the cultural and creative industries combine to integrate public spaces with cultural elements, shaping a dynamic cultural environment.

Godfrey Ip, HR Technology Solutions Manager of MGM and a participant of this journey, said: “This journey is both enriching and inspiring. It offered a deeper glimpse into how leading technology enterprises in the Greater Bay Area bring artificial intelligence and digital transformation to life—seamlessly weaving innovation into real-world operations. It has also inspired me to reflect on how these insights can be translated into my daily work, driving the team toward higher-quality development. MGM has been providing diverse training platforms and resources for our continuous learning, enabling us to keep pace with industry developments while encouraging ongoing innovation and self-improvement.”
