Making Great Moments with Human Oriented Technologies

Nov 8, 2019

MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI have received the accolade of the “Elite Smart Hotel Award” from the “2019 Macao Smart Hotel Award”, organized for the first time by Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) today. MGM has won two out of the six “Elite Smart Hotel Award”, the highest accolade of the Award, which truly honors the Company’s aspiration of delivering the best experience to guests and team members with innovative technologies. The awards also recognize MGM’s endeavor in making Macau a Smart city, while strengthening its position of the World Center of Tourism and Leisure.

Mr. Grant Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said, “Both MGM COTAI, opened a year ago, and MGM MACAU, opened for over 10 years, have received this accolade, which is a testimony of our continued pursuit in innovation. We are committed to provide innovative entertainment experience to our guests, as well as convenient and efficient human resources services to our team members.”

Cutting-edge technologies can be seen at every corner of MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI. The new addition to MGM, MGM COTAI brings the most innovative entertainment experience to life, which is well manifested with the Spectacle and MGM Theater. An immersive space of creative and dynamic design, merging nature and cutting-edge technology, the Spectacle holds the record of the largest free-span gridshell glazed roof (self-supporting), making it the first architectural and structural GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for Macau. While the MGM Theater, home to the world’s largest permanent indoor LED screen is able to seat up to 2,000 people in more than 10 different configurations, and is truly the ideal venue for a variety of events. On the other hand, all hotel rooms at both properties are equipped with smart technologies, making every stay an absolute comfort. At the restaurants, printed menus have been replaced with ordering tablets to optimize the overall dining experience.

Team members of MGM also benefit from the utilization of innovative technologies. MGM has launched Mlife Insider, the online service platform on enhancing MGM’s human resources service. It provides an one-stop solution to different services and allows instant access to information such as compensations, facilities, rosters, typhoon arrangements and real-time shuttle bus schedule for over 10,000 team members.

“2019 Macao Smart Hotel Award” is first introduced this year by CTT, honoring the endeavors of hotels that contribute in promoting Smart tourism and making Macau a Smart city. All winners support the use of innovative technology to enhance their business efficiency and optimize the customer experiences, through comprehensive communication networks and advanced electronic professional solutions.
