MGM arranged team members to visit the “National Security Education Exhibition” on this year’s National Security Awareness Education Day. |
MGM is committed to promoting national education to team members through a diverse range of activities, with the aim of helping them to fully understand our Country’s developments and achievements for inculcating a sense of national pride. Coinciding the sixth National Security Awareness Education Day, today the Company arranged team members to visit the “National Security Education Exhibition”, an exhibition co-organized by the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR. Through visiting the exhibition, MGM hopes to lead more team members to learn about the holistic approach to national security, as well as well acknowledging the civil duty of safeguarding it.
The exhibition highlights the Chinese people’s restless journey of combating the pandemic together in the spirit of solidarity last year, as well as the progress on enhancing national security system in both Macau and the entire nation. Through the introduction by an exhibition guide, Wendy Yu, Executive Vice President of Human Resources of MGM and the group of team members grasped a better understanding on the milestones of national development, national crisis management strategies and many more.
Pansy Ho, Co-chairperson & Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said, “MGM fully recognizes the importance of national education to the stability of our nation and the harmony of our society. Therefore, we always encourage our team members to adopt a positive and open-minded attitude in getting to know more about the nation in various aspects, so as to root the patriotic spirit of ‘loving the country, loving Macau”. This annual exhibition that opens on this very significant day of our nation, is the perfect occasion to strengthen our knowledge on national security, and also a great reminder that the national security is always the cornerstone of peace for the Country and its people. We shall all strive to safeguard this precious stability by all means.”
Joanna Nip from Human Resources, said, “A well-protected and stable living environment is the essential soil for the young generation to grow and seek opportunities. Through this visit, my colleagues and I realize the importance of national security to the successful implementation of Macau’s ‘One Country, Two System’, which is the key to assure the city’s steady and positive development. The exhibition also reminds us that safeguarding national security is not just a matter discussed on the government’s meeting table, but also a responsibility shared by all Macau citizens.”
