Supporting International Music to Showcase Macau’s Charm as a Cultural Destination

MGM remains consistent in spearheading unprecedented art movements in Macau to develop Macau as a Culturally Sustainable City. To cultivate appreciation for art and culture in those from all walks of life, MGM supported and sponsored the concert “Vienna Flute Mozartet” organized by the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra Association (MYSO), presenting to Macau locals a spectacular concert by a quartet from the internationally renowned Vienna Philharmonic.

The concert, held at MGM COTAI, received a tumultuous response from the audience of more than 300. The quartet included Dieter Flury, former President and Principal Flutist of the Vienna Philharmonic; Alina Pinchas, violinist of the Vienna Philharmonic; Tobias Lea, Principal Viola of the Vienna Philharmonic; and Tamás Vargaz, Principal Cellist of the Vienna Philharmonic. They performed works by Mozart, Schubert, Roussel, and Reger, including Quartet in C-Major, Trio for Flute, Viola and Cello, Op.40, Serenade No.1 in D-Major, Op.77a for Flute, Violin and Viola, and more.

Mr. Jimson Hoi, President of Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra Association (MYSO), said of the occasion, “MGM COTAI is the newest integrated resort in Macau, and we are so proud that this concert can be held at such an innovative and artistic venue, enhancing the overall performance and offering the audience a truly unique experience.”

Driven by the aim to make art accessible to all, MGM endeavors to bring international artistic spectacles and experiences to Macau while supporting and reinforcing the city as a cultural destination.
