With a commitment to cultivating local talent, MGM’s excellence in talent development and human resources services have once again been recognized both regionally and globally. In the first five months of 2020, MGM was honored with seven HR awards from four renowned institutions, including the global BEST Award from the Association of Talent Development (ATD), three awards from Guangdong HR Management Association, two from China Training Magazine, and one from Human Resources Director Asia. All of the acclaim manifests the Company’s strategic talent development and management to create pragmatic solutions to benefit both the growth of its business and team members.
Ms. Wendy Yu, Executive Vice President of Human Resources of MGM, also the winner of “HR Pioneer Award” of South China HR Excellence Award, expressed her gratitude towards the acclaim, “MGM has always strived to provide the most ideal working environment and resources for our team members, and they are motivated to unleash their full potential and achieve their career aspirations. All of these awards attest to our dedication to providing maximum development opportunities for team members, particularly local staff, to prepare them for the challenges ahead.”
BEST Awards
In mid-May, MGM scored the “BEST Award”, a prestigious international award by the Association of Talent Development which is the world’s biggest human resources organization, for the second time. This award recognizes winning organizations across the globe for demonstrating success in employee talent development, which boosts the performance of their business operations. MGM first received the honor in 2018 and became the only company in Hong Kong and Macau to attain this accolade for another year.
Human Resources Director Asia Hot List 2020
Mr. Francis Tan, Vice President of Learning and Talent Management of MGM, was among the 12 regional stellar HR professionals on the Human Resources Director Asia Hot List 2020. This annual award recognizes HR leaders in Asia who have showcased their commendable dedication to the HR field, and who have demonstrated their dedication to enhancing HR’s reputation both within their organizations and the wider industry.
China Talent Development Awards 2019 – 2020
The prominent national HR magazine, China Training Magazine, presented the “Talent Development Award” and the “Innovative Practice Award” to MGM in China Talent Development Awards 2019 – 2020, which recognize organizations and individuals who have made innovative contributions in talent development, transformation, training programs and implementation. Outperforming over 600 companies in China and other countries, MGM was the only awardee from the hospitality industry, and also the only winner from Hong Kong and Macau.
Southern China HR Excellence Awards 2019
MGM stood out from over 300 companies across Southern China, becoming the only enterprise in Macau to be honored in the South China HR Excellence Award 2019 organized by the Guangdong HR Management Association. The Company took home the “Excellence in Employer Branding Award” and the “HR Best Practice Award”. On the same occasion, Ms. Wendy Yu, Executive Vice President of Human Resources of MGM, received the “HR Pioneer Award”, an individual award that applauds an industry leader who has accomplished innovative achievements that present a role model for the HR industry.
