MGM Achieves Greatness in Vocational Skills Competition
Ms. Pansy Ho, Co-Chairperson and Executive Director and other senior management attended the event to show their appreciation to the contestants.

MGM Golden Lion Team has attained seven distinguished honors in the third Macao Integrated Tourism and Leisure Enterprises Vocational Skills Competition.

This year, a total of 22 talented MGM team members took part in the competition and took home extraordinary results. The team did particularly great in the category of Room Makeup and Design, where they garnered the only Special Gold Award, as well as the “Best Theme Design” award. MGM also received Gold Award in the category of Facilities Maintenance, Western Cuisine, and Food & Beverage Customer Service. The team also won the second runner-up of individual awards for the category of Chip Calculation and Special Gold Award for the category of Game Rules & Customer Service, under the Gaming Entertainment sector.

The Golden Lion team has been practicing vigorously to perform their best and achieve outstanding results. Embracing the proud Golden Lion team spirit, Pansy Ho, Co-Chairperson and Executive Director of the Company and other management team members also attended the event to show their appreciation for the team. In the future, MGM will continue to nurture local talents and pass-on the spirit of craftsmanship, and ultimately support Macau in integrating into the development of the Greater Bay Area.

Co-organized by the Labour Affairs Bureau and the Macao Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM), the competition is divided into the three categories, which are gaming, hotel services, and gastronomy, integrating elements of vocational skills, occupational safety, and professional services. Through having team members taking part in this competition, MGM hopes to provide a platform for the young team members to showcase their vocational skills and professionalism, as well as pitting their talents against the best peers in the industry.
