National education has been one of the pillars of talent development at MGM. Coinciding with the eighth National Security Education Day designated on April 15, the Company today arranged a group of 60 team members to visit the National Security Education Exhibition (Exhibition), co-organized by the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR – marking the fifth consecutive year that MGM has been supporting the event. To further deepen the team’s understanding of national security, more team members will be arranged to tour and learn from the Exhibition, meanwhile, MGM will organize online learning activities and promotions to ensure the entire team can acquire the relevant concept and knowledge. The key objective is to prompt team members to fulfill the civic responsibility to safeguard national security.
During the visit, Kenneth Feng, President, Chief Strategic & Financial Officer of MGM, and Wendy Yu, Executive Vice President of Human Resources of MGM led MGM’s management team on a guided tour of the Exhibition, which is comprised of a prologue and five thematic areas. Under the introduction of the guide, the visiting team members gained a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the Central Government’s great achievements in overall national security, the accomplishments of the Macao SAR government in enhancing the national security, as well as the interplay between various security fields – These are influential in helping them to better recognize the strong correlation between national security and Macau’s prosperity and stable development.
Iok Fong, Security Training & Administration Manager of MGM, said, “The Exhibition has made me realize that national security in fact covers a wide range of realms, which are closely linked to the national development. And also, national security has been embedded into our day-to-day life, including culture, environment, internet, and technology and more. As part of Macau residents, we should grasp every opportunity to know more about the overarching framework of national security, as well as actively uphold the ‘one country, two systems’ principle and ‘love the country, love Macau’ tradition. Through an increased awareness and patriotic spirit, together we can better contribute to safeguarding national security.”
