MGM is committed to fostering all-around talent who embodies both a profound sense of nationalism and a global perspective. To help its team members keep tabs on the development of the nation and neighboring regions, and to assume their civic responsibilities for safeguarding national security, MGM has organized annual visits for its management and team members to the National Security Education Exhibition (Exhibition) – co-organized by the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR. MGM team members have made by far over 2,400 visits to the Exhibition, both online and in person. This year, MGM will arrange for 300 team members to visit the Exhibition on-site, with a view to reinforcing the team’s grasp of national development and security, empowering them to further contribute to the nation’s stability and the successful implementation of “One Country, Two Systems”.
Led by Kenneth Feng, President and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited; Hubert Wang, President & Chief Operating Officer of MGM China Holdings Limited; and Wendy Yu, Executive Vice President of Human Resources of MGM, MGM team members today took on a guided tour of the Exhibition themed “Innovative Leadership: Ten Years of the Holistic Approach to National Security”. During the visit, MGM team members gained a thorough understanding that the national security regime has attained historical achievements in 10 years since President Xi Jinping introduced a holistic approach to national security in 2014, which provides a bedrock for the nation’s new development to flourish. Meanwhile, under the strong support of the central government, the Macao SAR Government has continuously bolstered the city’s legal system and enforcement mechanisms to further safeguard national security and foster the implementation of the principle of “patriots administering Macao”.
Sio Wai Ng, Director of Technology - Architecture of MGM, is responsible for overseeing the company’s cybersecurity. He said: “After visiting the exhibition, I have gained a deep understanding of how closely cybersecurity, and even national security, is linked to our everyday lives. It has reinforced my belief that each one of us has a responsibility and a role to play in maintaining national security. Our actions, regardless of their scale, can all contribute to our national security.”
