As the Grand Prix craze is taking over the whole city, MGM and the Macao Grand Prix Museum launch the “VR F3 Pit Stop Challenge”, the latest digital interactive game at the Macao Grand Prix Museum. From now on till February 17, 2025, this brand-new VR interactive game at the 1st floor of Macau Grand Prix Museum will be bringing fun and joy to locals and visitors, enhancing the charm of this tourist hotspot as well as Macau's international tourism image.
Alternate Adrenaline-pump of the Grand Prix
At the “VR F3 Pit Stop Challenge”, a player will wear VR goggles to simulate tire change at a pit stop during a formula race. Any delay can cost the podium and so the player must get the job done in the shortest possible time. Any player must complete two sets of tire change challenges within two minutes, the shorter the time, the higher the ranking. The game will focus on the pit member, allowing the player to have a multi-dimensional immersive experience in a race and feel the excitement and team spirit of tire swap in the middle of a race, which is an extremely difficult and highly precisive task.
To attract more residents and visitors to try out the new game, MGM invited all its sponsored racers for the 71st Macau Grand Prix on November 13 at the Macau Grand Prix Museum to activate the new interactive installation. The event was graced by Cheng Wai Tong, Deputy Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office and Catarina Lio, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing of MGM. MGM sponsored racers at the event included Christoper Haase from Phantom Global Racing to compete at the "Macau GT Cup – FIA GT World Cup", FHO Racing BMW Motorrad’s four top bikers for the 56th Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix: Peter Hickman, Michael Rutter, Davey Todd and Craig Neve, together with independent biker Sam West. At the event, a signing ceremony was held with Davey Todd and Faye Ho, a Macau local and founder of FHO Racing BMW Motorrad from Macau, in which Davey Todd will join the FHO Racing squad for the British Superbike Series in 2025, turning the spotlight of global motorcycle fans to the Macau Grand Prix Museum and increasing Macau’s international exposure as a tourist destination.
