MGM MACAU Supports the Special Olympics Macau Golf Masters 2014

Jun 3, 2014

[Macau – June 3, 2014] MGM MACAU reaffirms its commitment to community development by being one of the major sponsors of the Special Olympics Macau Golf Masters 2014, a 3-day competition held at Caesars Golf Macau.  More than eighty international golfers, who come from all over the world: Spain, Zimbabwe, South Africa, India, Israel, Malaysia, South Korea, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, swung into action for the competition.

Mr. Grant R. Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, and his management team took part in the competition as guardian players.  He said: “It is fulfilling to be part of this competition, which emphasizes sportsmanship and respect among players. We are proud to be one of the major sponsors of such a meaningful event this year, and we look forward to supporting it again next year”.

MGM MACAU also extended a warm welcome to the Special Olympics delegation off the golf course.   Guided by MGM MACAU’s Golden Lion Team, they visited the Water-Sky Aquarium at Grande Praça and watched an intriguing fish feeding show performed by professional divers.  The purpose of this activity was to increase their awareness of marine conservation and protection.

MGM MACAU has been dedicating significant efforts to fulfilling its social responsibilities, offering docent-guided tours to students, the community and tourists.
