Sep 5, 2014

[MACAU, September 5, 2014] With the coming of Mid-Autumn Festival, MGM MACAU has specially delivered mooncakes to Caritas Macau this morning. Ms. Irene Wong, Vice President of Sales, Public & Community Relations of MGM MACAU, and Mr. Nichols Cheung, Director of Human Resources Partner & Employee Services, together with MGM’s Volunteer Team members, have presented a total of 1,700 boxes of delectable mooncakes in flavors of double-yolk white lotus paste and egg custard to the charity organization. The mooncakes were received by Mr. Pun Chi Meng, Secretary General of Caritas Macau, who will then distribute them to its nearly 30 subsidiary social services organizations. The beneficiaries include elderlies, youths, members with mental and physical disabilities, low-income households and those in need. Through this mooncake giveaway, MGM MACAU hopes to pass its blessings to these individuals and wish them a happy Mid-Autumn Festival.

Mr. Nichols Cheung said, “MGM MACAU holds various types of volunteer activities and community events each year. Recently, our Volunteer Team has rolled out a series of voluntary programs which were well received by the community. Here, we would like to express our gratitude to all supporting associations and hope to extend our Golden Lion spirit to the public.”

The Volunteer Team members come from different departments and positions, and pledged to contribute and support local communities at their leisure time since the Team established in June 2010. Since the establishment, MGM members have organized and joined a host of voluntary activities with the aim of helping and spreading joy to others.
