[March 22, 2016, Macau] In celebration of Easter, MGM continues the tradition of “Celebrating the Easter Spirit with Concordia School for Special Education” for the third year. Led by MGM’s senior management team, over 30 volunteer team members visited the Concordia School for Special Education today to extend love, care and happiness to the schoolchildren, and wished them a cheerful festival with their family and friends.
MGM’s volunteer team members and executives visited the Concordia School for Special Education and were warmly welcomed by 10 teachers and 56 schoolchildren between 4 and 10 years old. During the visit, the volunteer team members took the opportunity to interact with the children through games and singing performances. Each child was then given a special Easter gift bag consisting chocolate Easter eggs, cupcakes, sandwiches and stationery, which is a token of the Golden Lion Team’s well wishes for a cheerful festival filled with endless joy and laughter to the children at Concordia.
Ms. Wendy Yu, Senior Vice President of Human Resources of MGM, said, “The visit provides a wonderful opportunity for MGM team members to give back to society. While we enjoy the festival with our family and friends, it is important that we don’t forget to create great moments for the underprivileged members of our community with the resources that we have. I am thankful to our volunteer team members for taking the time to plan and participate in this meaningful event.”
MGM is an avid supporter of the Macau community with its vision, Create a Better Tomorrow Today, focusing on philanthropic and volunteerism efforts to give back to society. The MGM volunteer team was established in 2010, with over 480 active team members. In addition to Easter visit, a dedicated team of volunteers was also formed in 2011 to pay monthly visits to community centers. MGM will continue to uphold the team’s spirit by creating and participating in activities that benefit society and help to create a better tomorrow for Macau.
