With the support from MGM’s board and management in the development of local talent and delivering world class human resources services, MGM garnered a total of 17 awards from major HR and Management associations across Greater China. The acclaim included three awards from HRoot, two awards from Hong Kong Management Association and 10 awards including overall HR Grand Winner prize from HR Magazine. HR Tech China awarded MGM for its outstanding online learning platform. VeryEast, a renowned HR service platform named MGM “The Best Employer of Tourism & Hospitality Industry”. All these accolades are a testament to MGM’s excellence and innovation in human resources development.

HRoot Greater China Awards 2019
In early September, MGM began to rack up its tally and received 3 honors in HRoot Greater China Awards 2019 in Shanghai. The contest was organized by HRoot, one of the leading HR media in China. For the second year in a row, the Company was named one of the “Best HR Teams in Greater China”. Its Learning and Talent Development Team scored the “Best HR Center of Excellence in Greater China” for the very first time, celebrating the team’s great achievement in nurturing talent. On the same occasion, Ms. Wendy Yu, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, received the “Outstanding Achievement Award of Human Resource Management in Greater China”. It is one of the most coveted honors for HR professionals, recognizing her stellar career in pushing boundaries of strategic talent management.
Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) Training & Development Awards
Also in early September, Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) honored the MGM HR team with “Award for Excellence in Training and Development – Excellence Award” and “Award for Best in Development of Local Talent” in recognition of the team’s prodigious commitment in local talent development. The acclaim, which acknowledges the achievements of companies and HR professionals in training and development, is considered as one of the most prestigious award of its area in Hong Kong. MGM is the first company in Macau to receive recognitions from HKMA in these two categories.
2019 HR Tech INNO Awards
China's top platform of HR technology HR Tech China has presented MGM eAcademy the online learning platform specially created for its team members, with the award of
“2019 HR Tech INNO Awards”. This commendation reaffirms MGM’s innovative vitality that makes learning more accessible by offering digital learning services to all employees, allowing team members, including those on shift or working in different locations, to learn anytime and anywhere.
HR Magazine Hong Kong 10 Awards including Overall Grand Winner
At the end of September, MGM received 10 prestigious HR Distinction Awards given by HR Magazine in Hong Kong. The distinctions included 7 Gold Awards in the categories of Learning & Development, Innovative Use of HR Tech, Employer of the Year and other awards including an honor in the category of corporate social responsibility. MGM has won the one and only HR Grand Award for two straight years, making it the biggest winner in the competition once again.
